How Countertops Pasadena Works
Countertops Pasadena fabricates and installs stone surfaces for Pasadena kitchens, baths and backyards: quartz, granite, quartzite and marble. We work in Pasadena and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley and foothill towns, from Altadena and La Cañada Flintridge to South Pasadena, San Marino and Arcadia.
A countertop job has more steps than most people expect, and most problems start with skipped ones. Cabinets that are out of level crack stone. A template taken before the sink and cooktop are chosen leaves cutouts in the wrong place. An overhang without proper support can snap. We do the steps in order: look at the cabinets and walls first, help you choose material and edge, have you pick the actual slab, template once the cabinets are ready, then fabricate and install.
Pasadena houses add their own questions. Many Craftsman kitchens have walls that are no longer straight, cabinets set on old floors, and plumbing that has been moved more than once. Southern California also shakes now and then, so heavy stone has to sit on solid, level boxes, with every overhang supported. And Pasadena's tap water is hard, which changes how some stones and fixtures hold up over time.
Following the visit, a written quote spells out square footage, material, edge shape, every cutout, tear-out of the existing counter and sink hookup. No slab is ordered or cut before you sign off, and any change gets your signature too.
How we work
- We check cabinet level and wall straightness before quoting, not on install day.
- You see and approve your slab, and we lay out seams with you.
- Overhangs beyond what the material can carry get brackets or corbels.
- Any cutting done at your home uses water to keep dust down, in line with California's silica rules for stone work.
- When the quote includes it, we pull and haul away the old counters.
- You pay for signed-off work and nothing else.
