Water and maintenance

The city is supplied by the Foothill Municipal Water District, formed in 1952, which buys Colorado River and State Water Project water through the Metropolitan Water District, with local sources providing about 20% of needs. Imported water tends to leave mineral spots around faucets and outdoor sinks. A sealed granite or quartz top wipes clean; for an outdoor sink area we suggest a stone that will not show every spot.
